Personality
Tiberius (Tibbi) is our resident Educational Ambassador Animal (in Training). He is a joker and loves to play with his toys, oftentimes being very careful not to “hurt” his stuffies. He has a naturally sweet and caring nature that is brought out by his love for his handlers and caretakers.
As a high-content animal, he displays behaviors very typical to wolves – he is aloof, wary of people, non-confrontational, and enjoys playtime with his pack.
You can read more about him and follow his adventures with his handler at Ambassador Tiberius.
What does it mean to be “in training”?
Our Educational Ambassador Animals go through an intense 2-3 year training program in order to properly socialize them, expose them to various situations, and shape certain behaviors. Our animals are handled from a very young age and are not considered fully mature until they are roughly 2.5-3 years old.
During this process, we evaluate their training and personality developments to determine the appropriate level of ambassador work that these animals are capable of.
